**Unit Description**


Sodexo is seeking a **Clinical Dietitian 1** for Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home located at the foothill of the Adirondacks, approximately 1-hour northwest of Albany. This community hospital is comprised of acute care beds, skilled nursing beds and a small outpatient clinic. This Clinical Dietitian will provide nutritional care for the acute care patients, long term care residents, and some outpatients.


Reporting the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Clinical Dietitian will:


+ Be a Registered Dietitian with experience in long term care and acute care.

+ Be responsible for all clinical documentation, care plan visits and new resident preference interviews

+ Have a strong commitment to excellence in patient care

+ Provide nutritional care to long term care residents and Hospital Patients.

+ Have experience with electronic charting and the NCP.

+ Experience with HealthTouch and Sodexo programs, preferred

+ Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards.

+ Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff.

+ Possess strong communication and customer service skills.

**Position Summary**


Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services

Key Duties

-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.

-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.

-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.

-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.

-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.

-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..


**Qualifications & Requirements**


Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree


Basic Functional Experience - Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
